FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (FAQ's)

Q: When is the Air Fest?
A: Air Fest gates open at 9 a.m. and close around 5 p.m. each day of the two-day event.

Q: What time does the airport close to non-Air Fest air traffic?
A: Rogue Valley International airport will not be closed to air traffic. This is a display-based event.

Q: May I fly into the Air Fest?
A: Due to allocation of ramp space to Air Fest static displays and scheduled guest arrivals, transient space in the immediate area of the North Jet Center will be limited. There are several other areas and FBO's at the Medford Airport that can accommodate your aircraft parking. We do want you to feel welcomed to our event. We just want you to know that transient parking in the immediate area will be limited.

Q: What is the performer schedule?
A: A list of activities will be available. Unfortunately, the schedule is not solidified until to morning of the Air Fest to allow for security, safety, weather or operational concerns. Keep in mind that this is a static display based festival, fly-overs may or may not happen at the event.

Q: Will the Air Fest be televised?
A: The Air Fest will not be televised and unauthorized broadcast of the show is prohibited. To see all aspects of the Air Fest, you need to attend.

Q: Are cameras and video recorders allowed?
A: Yes.

Q: What happens if it rains?
A: It takes more than a few drops of rain to stop an Air Fest! The Air Fest will take place - rain or shine both Saturday and Sunday.. All display aircraft, concessions and exhibits will be open regardless of weather.

FAQ: TICKETS AND ENTRY

Q: Is parking free?
A: Parking is free. Parking is limited to parking along the roadways near the north end of the airport. Park along Cirrus, Pech and other roadways where legal parking of vehicles is permitted.

Q: Do I need to buy my children tickets?
A: Children 12 and under are admitted free of charge with a paid adult.

Q: Does the Air Fest accept credit cards or checks at the gate?
A: The Air Fest is only able to accept cash for payment.

Q: Is bleacher seating available?
A: Bleacher seating is not available.

Q: Are VIP tickets available?
A: All tickets are general admission to the festival.

Q: May I bring a lawn chair or blanket to sit on?
A: Seating is not included with general admission tickets, however most of the festival is display based and viewed by moving around the festival area.

Q: Are coolers and/or backpacks permitted?
A: Due to security concerns, coolers and large bags are not permitted on the festival site. Small coolers for the purpose of carrying prescribed, life-preserving medications are permitted. All personal handbags, totes, diaper bags, etc. are subject to search at the entry gates.

Q: Are pets allowed?
A: For the safety of attendees and the animals, pets are not allowed on show grounds. Certified service animals are permitted.

Q: May I leave and re-enter the Air Fest during the day?
A: Please acquire a hand stamp before exiting show grounds to ensure your ability to return.

Q: Are shaded areas available?
A: Air Fests are held under open skies. Generally there is no shade on the festival grounds. Guests are encouraged to bring sunscreen and hats.

Q: May I bring a tent, beach umbrella or awning?
A: Due to security and safety concerns, tents, beach umbrellas, awnings and the like are not permitted on show grounds. Sunscreen and hats are encouraged.

FAQ: MISCELLANEOUS

Q: What food is commonly found at an Air Fest?
A: A variety of foods generally including barbecue foods, hot dogs and hamburgers. Pop and water will also be sold on site.

Q: Are first aid facilities on-site?
A: Yes, medical personnel will be on site and a first aid center will be open.

Q: What are recommended items to bring to the Air Fest?
A: Strollers, cameras, sunscreen and hats are items air fest veterans tend to pack.

Q: What items are prohibited from being brought into the Air Fest?
A: The following items are prohibited from the Air Fest grounds: coolers, loose ice, cans, glass, alcohol, pets, weapons of any kind, tents, awnings, cooking/barbecue equipment.
